Winter engagement sessions are so special! There’s never a bad time of year to have your photos done. If you get engaged in the winter season, don’t wait until summer to celebrate your engagement. Have a couples photo session in the winter!

Winter photo sessions are so beautiful! I’ll never get over the white on white tones, the way the snow sits on the trees, the gorgeous diffused light from the sun reflecting off of so many surfaces. It’s a really special time of year to have a photo session. 

My biggest tip for a winter photo session is dress for the weather, but make it cute! If you’re feeling cold during a session that is going to translate into the photos. If you choose to wear your winter jacket, maybe wear it unzipped with a rad sweater underneath. I want to see you, details of your style, and what makes you unique.

There are so many options other than a winter jacket that you could wear to your winter session. I think this is all about how you layer and accessorize. Bundle up with some heavy sweaters, wrap a warm wooly scarf around you and stay so cozy during the session.
