The Anupaya Essentials collection is “utility homeware items are designed to evoke a deep sense of beauty and celebrate craftsmanship.”
The focus of this project was to frame the beauty of the tools and homewares because we wanted to showcase these as fulfilling a need and how they do that in a really beautiful way.
We chose to use a neutral palette to compliment the design of the product. We wanted to showcase that “these tools clean and declutter our homes, while inviting us to view utility as a form of beauty and even decor.”
Showing the homewares in both a studio set as well as in a lived in setting reflects the beautiful details of the handmade products as well as how that translates into using them in home.
I can’t stop telling myself how much I love my job. Supporting businesses in creating commercial photography is one of my favourite projects to work on!
This project came together soooo seamlessly. Melissa, from Little Wanderer Clothing Co, had the coolest dreams of the aesthetic that she wanted created for this project. The citrus, fig and papaya details paired with the colour palette of her clothing pieces were so perfect!!!!
We decided to keep the backdrop neutral to complement all of the other tones. We introduced the canvas fabric backdrop to add some softness and texture to her imagery. That way this shoot would balance with other lifestyle photos she may use within her brand throughout this season.
Taking photos of kids is really, really, really special. It was such a fun experience guiding them to pose for a more editorial feel while capturing their interpretation of the direction I was describing to the crew of kids.
